Virgil Village is a neighborhood in East Hollywood adjacent to Los Feliz and Silver Lake. Virgil Village boundaries are Santa Monica Blvd to the north, Vermont Ave to the west, Hoover St to the east and the 101 Freeway to the south.
Virgil Village offers a mix of condominiums, single family homes and apartment buildings. It is also home to the attractive Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St Vladimir and the well known karaoke dive bar, the Smog Cutter.
Amalia’s Guatemalan Restaurant, Cafe 50’s Hollywood, California Bowl, Wah’s Golden Hen, Golfo De Fonseca Restaurant, La Luna Banquet Hall, and Taqueria El Charrito are just a few of the great establishments in the neighborhood. There are also several tiny markets including Lee & Oh Foodmart, Reny Market and Virgil Market.
